Program -
Dana McCoy presented an informative program on their trip to France. Her son is in the marching Band at UNCC and they were invited to play at a celebratory event in Normandy marking the 74th anniversary of the invasion at Normandy.
Next year marks the 75th anniversary of this historical event and France has planned elaborate events to honor those who invaded Normandy as a part of Operation Overlord to get the Allied armies onto the continent of Europe. I think we all felt moved as we were reminded of the lives lost in the fight for freedom.
