Fun ‘N Frolic for the Foundation Ukrainian Relief Fund
Program
John Gvozdjak provided background information on the Sterling High School "Golden Bots" Robotics Team, whose mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills and that inspire innovation and foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. John introduced Alexis Rivera, the group's founder and chief mentor who has been a math teacher at Sterling High School since 2009. Alexis introduced the students and the adult mentors. He noted that most of this year's students are freshmen and sophomores, and he asked the students to demonstrate their hand-crafted robot. Rotarians were thoroughly impressed and asked several questions.
